This is so chilling. Muhammad Ali’s wife Lonnie can be heard begging for help in a newly obtained 911 call — read the shocking transcript right here.
Muhammad Ali passed in a hospital near his Paradise Valley, AZ home on June 3, but before that happened, his wife Lonnie made a call to 911 on June 2 to beg an ambulance dispatcher for aid. We have all the details.
In a 911 call obtained by RadarOnline.com, Lonnie can be heard desperately begging for help. “I need a transfer, a paramedic to come here,” she says in the recording. “My husband, we just brought him in [to the doctor’s], but his oxygen level has dropped…We do have oxygen on him right now.” So terrifying. Listen to the full recording here:
As we previously reported, the boxing legend sadly died at the age of 74 after being hospitalized. “After a 32-year battle with Parkinson’s disease, Muhammad Ali has passed away at the age of 74. The three-time World Heavyweight Champion boxer died this evening,” family spokesperson Bob Gunnell told HollywoodLife.com in a statement. He was rushed to the hospital after Lonnie’s 911 call on June 2, for a respiratory issue, succumbing to the illness after about 24 hours.
Friends and family said goodbye to the icon at his funeral on June 10. He was laid to rest in a touching service as prominent guests like Will Smith and Bill Clinton attended to pay their respects. Pallbearers and onlookers lined the roads, waving and taking photos while chanting “Ali, Ali” as his coffin was driven through his Louisville, Kentucky hometown. Former President Clinton and Billy Crystal delivered eulogies, with Billy declaring that Muhammad “taught us that life is best when you build bridges between people and not walls”. He is certainly missed.
