Donald Trump is using the horrifying terror attack at an Istambul airport on June 28 to push his agenda of re-adopting waterboarding as a form of torture in America. At a June 29 rally in Ohio, he revealed he ‘liked it a lot.’ We have all of the shocking details, right here.
Donald Trump, 70, really “likes” torture. At least, that’s what he told the crowd at an Ohio rally on June 29. The presumptive Republican nominee used the atrocity that occurred at an Istambul airport on June 28 to try to convince people that reinstating waterboarding would be a good idea. Here’s the scoop.
“You have to fight fire with fire,” said Donald, appealing to a crowd at one of his rallies in Ohio, according to People. He was talking about how to deal with ISIS after the horrifying terror attack in Istambul that killed 41 people at an airport one day before. “We have to be so strong. We have to fight so viciously and violently because we’re dealing with violent people.”
That’s when he turned the conversation toward his own agenda. “What do you think about waterboarding?” he said, paving the way to share his own opinion. “I like it a lot,” he said while his supporters cheered. However, he had one complaint about the practice of holding a wet towel over someone’s face and dumping water over it so they feel like they’re drowning: “I don’t think it’s tough enough.”
America banned the appalling practice in 2006, and Donald wants to bring it back. “They [Islamic State] can go chopping off heads, drowning people in steel cages, they can do whatever they want to do,” he said. “They eat dinner like us. Can you imagine them sitting around the table or wherever they’re eating their dinner, talking about ‘the Americans don’t do waterboarding and yet we chop off heads?’ They probably think we’re weak, we’re stupid, we don’t know what we’re doing, we have no leadership. You know, you have to fight fire with fire.”
