Is Chelsea Houska over the reality drama for good? The ‘Teen Mom’ star’s father revealed that with her wedding soon approaching, she may be ready to put the show and the drama behind her! Here’s the scoop.
Teen Mom 2’s Chelsea Houska, 24, has had enough! As her wedding to fiancee, Cole DeBoer soon approaches, the reality star has made a new revelation about her future on MTV’s hit show. Chelsea’s dad revealed that she may be ready to make her departure from the show for good! Here’s the shocking reason why.
“She’s ready to quit [Teen Mom 2],” Chelsea’s dad, Randy Houska shared during an interview with the Denist, Implants and Worms podcast. “If the series ends, she’s fine with it.” OMG! We would hate to see Chelsea leave.
But why would Chelsea want to bail on the hit show? “Sometimes they push her to do some drama but she doesn’t want drama. Drama makes good TV but she doesn’t want a life of drama,” Randy continued. It seems like Chelsea may just be drawn to drama, as she constantly had to deal with her ex, Adam Lind, 32, being in and out of jail, and caring for her daughter Aubree alone, but Randy implied that the show brought on many feuds between her and other moms.
“The show is financially lucrative for her,” Randy noted. “She’s 24 and she has a house. That’s why she stuck with it. She’s doing well, and Aubree is all set as far as college money.” But besides the fact that she was receiving good pay from the show, she no longer wants to be involved, especially as her wedding approaches. We feel you Cheslea!
Chelsea and Cole will wed in Oct. 2016, after getting engaged nearly one year earlier. But she doesn’t even want her wedding televised. “She doesn’t want [the wedding] taped. She doesn’t want it on TV,” Randy said about her upcoming nuptials. “She doesn’t need it paid for. I was very proud that she grew the balls to say no. They’ll go to the bachelorette party and stuff [to film], but for the wedding she agreed that she’ll send a bunch of professional still photos [to them to use for the show].”
Chelsea has been apart of MTV’s franchise since she was 16, so her departure may be a very weird transition. But seeing how she is in a good place right now, moving on may be just what she needs as she starts to build her new family. Good luck, girl!
