This is crazy! A NASCAR race practically turned into a UFC fight when two drivers got into a violent brawl after crashing into each other. Watch the crazy fight video right here!
Who knew NASCAR drivers could throw some major punches? John Wes Townley, 26, and Spencer Gallagher, 26, got into a brutal fist fight after an epic crash at the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in Illinois on June 25. That’s certainly not the way you expect a car race to end!
Although neither John Wes nor Spencer were injured in the crash, apparently John Wes was not happy with Spencer for crashing into him. As the repair crew was working on the guys’ cars following the crash, John Wes completely attacked Spencer! He threw punch at Spencer’s head, quickly taking both of them down to the ground to continue their throw down. Needless to say, it was pretty crazy!
Even though the guys kept throwing punches at each other, people let the fight go on for a good 40 seconds! The guys clearly weren’t doing much harm to each other in their fight, so the announcers couldn’t help keeping score as the guys tried taking each other down. In the end, they gave it to John Wes, who did seem to get a few more hits in. They appeared to settle their score, but it’ll definitely be interesting to see what happens when they meet again!
Neither John Wes or Spencer were in contention to win when they crashed into each other, but maybe part of the tension between them came from the fact that they ended up finishing almost dead last! Spencer and John Wes finished No. 22 and 23, respectively, with 21-year-old Christopher Bell winning it all. So if John Wes couldn’t take home a NASCAR win, at least he can say he “won” a fight!
