He’s with her! Bernie Sanders said he’s voting for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential election. Though Hill defeated the Vermont senator to win the nomination, Bernie said he will ‘do everything I can’ to help her take down Donald Trump!
After Hillary Clinton, 68, beat her political rival, Bernie Sanders, 74, to become the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee for the 2016 Presidential election, one question still remained: will Bernie back Hill? Well, wonder no more, as Bernie has given his answer!
While stopping by MSNBC’s Morning Joe on June 24, the hosts asked Bernie if he would vote for Hillary in November. “Yes,” he said, knowing that he had to put his support behind the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee in order to defeat their mutual nemesis. “I think the issue right here is I’m going to do everything I can to defeat Donald Trump.”
“I think Trump in so many ways will be a disaster for this country, if he were to be elected president,” Bernie added. “We do not need a president whose cornerstone of his campaign is bigotry.” Senator Sanders also said that he isn’t ending his presidential campaign, though Hillary has defeated him – winning 2,811 delegates to his 1,1879. Bernie says he’s “going to be urging millions of people to get involved in the political process” and he’ll fight for a “strong” Democratic platform at the party’s convention on July 25.
Hillary will be glad to have Bernie’s support in taking down Donald. She’s already taking shots at the ex-Celebrity Apprentice star’s economic plan. “He has written a lot of books about business. They all end at Chapter 11,” she said. Mic drop. Dead. That was one of the sickest political burns in the entire 2016 Presidential Campaign.
Maybe Paul Ryan, 46, can help Donald write a better reply? The Speaker of the House threw his support behind the Republican Party’s presumptive nominee, saying that he and Trump “have more in common” than what people think. Paul proved that he’s pretty much ride or die for Donald, as he didn’t pull his endorsement after Trump made his “indefensible” racist comments. Will his help give Donald the edge or will the Bernie-Hillary tag-team trounce Trump?
Are you glad that Bernie said that he’s voting for Hillary in November, HollywoodLifers? Do you think he’s going to help Hill win?
