After losing the 2016 NBA Finals, Stephen Curry is absolutely ‘gutted.’ The Golden State Warriors star is trying his best to get over the loss, and HollywoodLife.com has the scoop that he’s looking to Tom Brady of the New England Patriots for advice!
Stephen Curry, 28, was so close! After leading the Golden State Warriors to the best season in NBA history, he saw the NBA Championship slip through his fingers. In order to deal with this utter heartbreak, Steph is turning to one man who understands his pain and that man – as HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned – is Tom Brady, 38!
“Steph is gutted with how he played, how they lost and really knows he blew a huge opportunity,” a source close to the NBA’s MVP EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “He actually wants to talk to Tom Brady soon to see how Tom dealt with losing in the Super Bowl after the Patriots perfect season.”
If there’s anyone who knows what’s Steph is going through, it’s Tom. Steph and the Dubs ended the 2015-16 season with a 73-9 record, the best in NBA history! It’s very similar to the New England Patriots’ 2007 season. They went 16-0 in the regular season and made it all the way to Super Bowl XLII, before losing to Eli Manning, 35, and the New York Giants.
“It just feels to Steph that they had a chance to make history and made it in the wrong way,” the source tells HollywoodLife.com. After all, LeBron James, 31, led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a victory after a 3-1 deficit, the first time in history. That has left Steph desperately in need of advice, considering everyone is taking shots and making fun of him. “[Steph] wants to see how Tom dealt with it to learn from a fellow elite player.”
The sooner that Tom can help Steph out, the better. The first thing the Golden State superstar said after the loss is, “it hurts, man.” Plus, while there are plenty of other players on the team – repeat low-blow artist, Draymond Green, 26, for instance – Steph is blaming himself for the loss. “He’s mad,” an insider EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “His A-Game was more like a C-game, if that.” Hopefully, Tom can help get Steph out of this funk.
Do you think Tom should give Steph advice, HollywoodLifers? Or do you think Steph has nothing to feel bad about?
