Oh no! Sinead O’Connor is missing in Chicago on June 23 after she allegedly told her family she was going to jump off of a bridge. The singer has been struggling with depression, even making similar threats just over a month ago. We have all the details, right here!
This is so scary. Sinead O’Connor, 49, has gone missing in Chicago after threatening to commit suicide on June 23. She allegedly told her family she was going to jump off a bridge, and now police are searching for her and guarding local bridges. Here’s what we know so far about the terrifying situation.
Sinead might be in trouble again! Just a month and a half after she went missing in Chicago in May, police are on the lookout for the troubled singer again on June 23. According to TMZ, she contacted family in Ireland saying she was planning to kill herself by jumping off a bridge, and they called Irish police who contacted the Chicago Police Department.
Police are now keeping an eye on the bridges in Chicago and are on the lookout for the singer, but have not officially listed her as a missing person or have begun a search for her. That’s what happened in May, when she first went missing. Police eventually found her in a hotel, but it was enough to scare her family.
This isn’t the first time she’s threatened suicide either. In 2011, she began to show suicidal tendencies, and forced police to come check on her when tweeted “had to go psychiatrist for routine renew prescription etc. She says I’m a bad mum and mental for talking so openly about sex in public. So now I wish suicide wud kill me.” We hope she is found safe and sound yet again, and gets the help she needs!
