Was this a sporting event or a comedy show?… During a Copa America soccer game in Chicago, an excited fan decided to rebel against stadium rules, and what he did was hysterical. Find out what happened!
Chicago fans at Soldier Field got an extra treat aside from an epic Copa America soccer game between Chile and Columbia on June 22. A very energetic fan took it upon himself to break a few rules when he did the unexpected. See what went down!
In a video posted to twitter, a man is seen charging the field shirtless in the pouring rain. After a “shelter in place,” (which is a precaution to keep individuals safe in an interior room indoors), was forced on the attendees due to severe weather, the man takes off on to the green.
He is seen waving his shirt in the air, while running in all different directions for almost a whole minute. Multiple security guards wearing ponchos, hilariously try to catch the runner but terribly fail — some of them even slipping and falling to the ground.
At first the man appears like he is going to get caught by security, until he rapidly increases speed, leaving the guards way behind him. You could hear the crowd in the background laughing and cheering the entire time, and they got even louder when the fan started to run faster. LOL!
Upon reaching the end of the field, the man had no where to go and almost got caught once again, but he hopped over the barrier of the field and proceeded to climb up the wall! He was just about there until he was grabbed by a guard, tackled to the ground, and then restrained by a few security men.
The “shelter in place” at Soldier Field lasted for about two hours, leaving the game expected to resume at 10:25 PM, WGNtv.com reported.
This guy can seriously run, and if you ask us, maybe one of the soccer teams should ask him to join their roster. SO FAST!
