Sadly, Liam Hemworth didn’t invite Miley Cyrus to his ‘Independence Day: Resurgence’ movie premiere, but she accepted his decision, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Find out why.
“Miley would have liked to be at the premiere with Liam. It was a hard pill to swallow when he told her he didn’t want her to come. But she understands his reasons, she knows she needs to let him call the shots when it comes to his career,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
As we previously learned, “Liam didn’t want to make things a circus, and didn’t want to overshadow the film by bringing Miley,” another source told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “That’s also why he didn’t talk to any outlets during the premiere and just took pictures. He wanted the movie to stand on its own and not be overshadowed by his relationship.”
Essentially, Liam just didn’t want Miley coming in like a “wrecking ball” and stealing the spotlight at his premiere for Independence Day: Resurgence. It totally makes sense and doesn’t mean he loves her any less. We’re glad Miley understands.
And there’s clearly a lot of love between these two. In a new interview, Liam defended his decision to propose to Miley in 2012 — prior to their split and eventual reconciliation. “I don’t think that was impulsive,” Liam told News Corp. “That was a well-thought out idea.” Aww!
Leaving Miley at home during his premiere was obviously a well-thought out idea as well. Liam doesn’t seem like the kind of guy who makes impulsive decisions. He has a heart, but he’s also smart.
