Just when you thought there couldn’t be anymore ‘Bachelor,’ another spin-off is here. Freeform just announced ‘Ben And Lauren: Happily Ever After’ — will you be watching?
“Ben and Lauren are the biggest ‘Bachelor’ couple of the last 10 years,” Karey Burke, executive vice president, Programming and Development, Freeform said on Wednesday. “Their romance captured everyone’s attention, and we are delighted to continue their story on Freeform.”
The series will show Ben getting involved in politics — he’s considering running for a seat in the Colorado House of Representatives — and Lauren working on establishing her post-Bachelor life. And yes, we will be seeing Bachelor and Bachelorette alum! Of course, it will also be all about the wedding planning.
“Our life has been a whirlwind; that is really something we want to focus on over the next few months,” Lauren told Us Weekly. “We’re already used to sharing our lives with everyone else, so we thought, ‘Why not?’ It’s a fun way to share life after The Bachelor.”
“After you walk away from The Bachelor, it’s not like your life becomes private. People still find out what you’re doing, so it’s not changing our life to be public,” Ben said. And yes, that means we will see them fight sometimes.
“Starting a life together is never going to be this super smooth transition. It’s going to have rocky edges at times, but I love coming home to her at the end of the day,” Ben said. Lauren definitely agreed. “He’s like, ‘Why do we need a new couch? We have a couch!’ So that’s been a point of contention!”
The series is scheduled to air in October.
