How’s this one going to work out? Former MVP and Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose was traded to the New York Knicks on June 22 in a sensational move that’s surprised all in the NBA world. Will the guard be able to rediscover his old form and lead the Knicks to glory next year? Knicks fans certainly think so!
This might be a gamble worth taking. Derrick Rose, 27, who has suffered all sorts of injury problems during his career, has been traded by the Chicago Bulls to the New York Knicks in a sensational move that has got the NBA world talking about in force. It begs the question if Derrick is worth the gamble or not, but he could be something that the Knicks have been crying out for years, and it’s got Knicks fans tweeting like crazy online!
Rewind back to 2011, and Derrick was the hottest commodity in the NBA after dominating all around him to earn the NBA Most Valuable Player Award. At 22 he became the youngest player to ever win the accolade and he was proving worthy of his $94 million 5-year contract.
However, rival fans have more recently called poor Derrick washed up and felt he was a spent force after having 2 major knee surgeries in 4-years. He was called a waste of money by many, even though he does have a supreme talent, and many doubted that he will ever be able to rediscover the form that made him such a feared player. But that isn’t worrying Knicks fans who seem pleased to have got their man.
Also, anyone who knows me knows exactly how gassed I am that Derrick Rose is finally a New York Knick.

Derrick Rose being sent to New York was the worst mistake that Chicago has ever done. All the best to D-Rose and the Knicks next season!
