She’s back! Demi Lovato made her triumphant, and quick return to the social scene just one day after vowing to quit both Twitter and Instagram. Her first tweet back may be her most honest one yet.
Demi Lovato, 23, has been known to speak her mind on social media, but her latest comments throwing shade at Mariah Carey, 46, set Mariah fans off and shortly after, Demi announced her departure from Twitter and Instagram entirely. Well, that didn’t last long. The singer is back on Twitter and she’s more honest than ever. See her latest tweets!
“F—k this..I’m back bitches. And I’m coming back more honest than ever,” the “Heart Attack” singer tweeted Tuesday, June 21. She didn’t stop there though. Right after, Demi tweeted three emojis, a smiley with sunglasses, a middle finger and a purple devil. FIERCE!
Demi, who recently split from her longtime boyfriend, actor Wilmer Valderrama, 36, continued her return rant, not afraid of calling out her haters. She openly tweeted, “Love my Lovatics so f—king much,” and “I love my Lovatics too much to leave them over some lame ass haters.. What was I thinking?!”
Demi never admitted the real reason behind her short social leave, but it could have something to do with her usual candid comments across her social media platforms that cause online uproars. Following her latest Mariah opinions, calling the mother-of-two “nasty” in the way she “constantly disses” people, Demi received major backlash on Instagram.
As expected, the unapologetic star took to Twitter (before quitting) to defend herself, tweeting, “But why do people actually give a f–k what I say?? like if you don’t care the gtfo haha.” She continued, “That one time I started my own charity providing mental health care for people who can’t afford it and this is what y’all talk about,” and Demi concluded her rant with, “And people wonder what’s wrong with the world. Pay more attention to good than bad.”
So far, Demi has only returned to Twitter, and the newly single star told fans she was not quitting Snapchat. Unfortunately, Demi has yet to post anything on Instagram since her promise to quit the picture-sharing site, but you can bet HollywoodLife will be on the lookout.
