Dry your eyes because the soccer isn’t over! The USA may have crashed out to Argentina in the first semifinal of the Copa America, but we’ve still got another great match-up to come between Chile and Colombia on June 22. Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois will be the venue for this epic match-up you’re not going to want to miss, so click down for the live stream to watch!
Chile may have started the tournament slowly, dropping their opening game to Argentina 2-1, but since then they’ve been irresistible. Their 7-0 blowout win against a strong Mexico team showed why they were last year’s Copa America winners. They’re going to take some beating.
Colombia has also been showing the world what they’re capable of. Having qualified for the knockout stages of the Copa to spare, they’ve looked pretty decent. However, they needed a penalty shootout to overcome a stubborn Peru team in their quarterfinal, even with the best efforts of James Rodriguez, who couldn’t break them down!
An intriguing battle on opposite sides of the pitch will be between Chile’s dynamic forward Alexis Sanchez and Colombia’s goalkeeper David Ospina. They both play their club soccer at Premier League giants Arsenal, so on any other day these two would be teammates!
It promises to be an epic game, and we hope both teams go for it and don’t play cautiously and sit back. Last thing we want is another penalty shootout. Give us, goals, goals, goals!
