Miesha Tate is ready to rumble. The UFC champ got candid about her future fight plans, and she’s ready to hop in the ring with a familiar face. HollywoodLife.com will fill you in!
Miesha Tate, 29, is gearing up to battle Brazilian fighter, Amanda Nunes, 28, but she’s got her sights set on something else — a rematch with Ronda Rousey, 29. Miesha didn’t hold anything back when revealing what it’s going to take to get in the octagon with the Olympic medalist!
“I feel like something would be missing from my career if I didn’t fight Ronda again,” Miesha, who previously went 0-2 with Ronda, told TMZ Sports. Now, she’s looking to avenge her past, but she needs to beat Amanda first, who Miesha claims is her focus right now.
The two will face off at the UFC 200 on July 9, and if Miesha wins, it’ll put her one step closer to fight time with Ronda. The only problem is, when will Ronda be ready to fight?
After suffering a devastating first loss to Holly Holm, 34, Ronda was deeply affected, even confessing on Ellen that she had suicidal thoughts after their match. However, she told TMZ back in January 2016 that she would “of course” be facing off with Holly again, but when is the question.
In the meantime, if Miesha can defeat Amanda to ultimately face Ronda, it should be an epic fight. As HollywoodLife previously told you, Miesha did beat Holly when they came head-to-head at UFC 196, March 5 for the bantamweight championship.
If that wasn’t enough, Miesha proceeded to take on another challenge. When asked if she would consider fighting Brazilian UFC fighter Cris “Cyborg” Justino, she eagerly responded, “I think it would be wonderful to fight Cyborg.” WOW! She’s got quite the energy.
