When the senate fails Americans, at least we still have Chrissy Teigen and John Legend to fall back on. Just wait until you see their one-on-one gun control debate that took place on Twitter!
Chrissy Teigen, 30, and John Legend, 37, might have a future in politics based on their recent Twitter interactions. After it was announced that the United States Senate failed to pass laws that would help limit who can purchase a gun, the married couple and new parents hopped online to express their outrage and even mock the situation a little bit.
Don’t mess with the Legend family! On Monday night, June 20, John signed onto his Twitter account to encourage his fans and followers to make sure they vote out the senate members who blocked the gun control laws that very same day. Chrissy’s response? Priceless.
Chrissy quickly responded to John’s tweet in outrage, claiming that it was her “right” to own assault rifles. Of course, she’s just mocking the situation and the GOP’s ongoing narrative, but then she took aim at another group of people: the followers they have that don’t always agree with their right-wing opinions.
“Used 2 respect you,” she wrote, along with the broken hashtag “#unfollow.” You can check out how the rest of the exchange went below:
We have to vote the GOP out of leadership of both House & Senate to get anything done on guns. Please vote in November.

However, the icing on the cake of this Twitter “debate” was when one user questioned whether or not John and Chrissy were sitting next to each other while tweeting. The answer? Duh, of course they were!
