The most recent ‘Game Of Thrones’ took out a major character — but was it for the best? Even the star who’s out of a job agrees it needed to happen!
Sansa rose above this week on Game of Thrones, and the majority agree that the death that went down after quite the battle, was a long time coming. Did the person deserve to be literally eaten by dogs? Well, that’s for you to decide.
“I’ve had four lovely seasons here. It’s been great to be involved with such an amazing show,” Iwan Rheon, who portrayed Ramsay, told Entertainment Weekly after last night’s shocking episode. “I think it’s kind of right he goes down. Because what else is he going to do after this? He’s done so many things. It’s justified and it’s the right thing to do. It’s the right path. He’s reached his peak. It’s nice for the audience that he goes out on this high, if you will.”
We have to say, we agree — it was time. And while yes, Ramsay did technically win the battle against Jon Snow, Iwan was well aware he wasn’t the one people were rooting for.
“I’m glad it happens as a fan of the show,” he admitted. “Jon Snow (Kit Harington) needs to win because otherwise there’s no hope left in the world. But it is interesting that it isn’t fair. And afterward, Ramsay still thinks he’s won. He’s so arrogant and self assured he thinks he’ll still be fine — until the last minute. He always thinks he’s going to be okay.”
And as for the way he went out — well, in a way, it came full circle. “I feel really lucky he got a proper send off. And it’s a gruesome death. It’s so ironic. He’s been banging on about those hounds all this time,” he said.
So, were you happy that Ramsay was killed off? Was it time? Let us know!
