LeBron James is flying high after he and the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers dominated the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 on June 19. On June 20, he took to Instagram to shut down all of the haters by saying ‘put some respek on my name!’ See his full message here.
This is amazing! LeBron James, 31, is now laughing off the haters who doubted him heading into the NBA Finals. Jokes on them – he ended up winning the whole championship on June 19! He took to Instagram to sip some tea on June 20. Here’s what he had to say!
LeBron has no problem tooting his own horn, and after all the hate he received for the past couple of years he’s got a LOT to say. On June 20 he shared a photo of himself with his MVP trophy rocking a hat with the “but that’s none of my business” Kermit the frog sipping tea on it. Too funny! Here’s the message he left in the caption:
“They said u lost a step, wasn’t explosive as once was, the best days was in the real view, questioned your drive, your leadership, your commitment, you don’t have killer instinct, going back home is the worst mistake in your career, he got the coach fired, players traded, won’t work between him and Kyrie, Him and Kev won’t work, love your teammates to much, there’s no way he can deliver a championship in his hometown, etc etc etc…. But guess what THATS NONE OF MY BUSINESS.”
LeBron wrapped up his rant with some hashtags that showed how he’s really feeling: proud, thrilled, and ready to keep on fighting. “#StriveForGreatness #ThisOneIsForTheLand #PutSomeRespeckOnMyName Hahahaha!!! Yes sir.” We’re sure LeBron still has some gloating left in him, and we’re loving every second of it.
