It’s no secret that Dwyane Wade and LeBron James are best friends — but apparently that means Dwyane also doesn’t chat with LeBron’s competition?
Right before Game 7, Klay Thompson, shooter for the Golden State Warrior was spotted leaving the locker room walking around — and walking right past Dwyane Wade — the NBA star who was clearly there to cheer on his ex-Heat teammate LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. Watch the awkward encounter here.
The video was caught behind the scenes by someone and shared on Vine. You can see it below; Dwyane Wade either doesn’t see Klay, or Klay is really focused, understandably so. Either way, DWade definitely didn’t have any bad blood toward the Warriors. After the game, he tweeted a congrats to his BFF, but also added, “The Golden State had a year for the books. Of course this will hurt but they have nothing to put their hands down about. Amazing series.”
“Obviously it feels like a failure right now. It stings more than anything I’ve gone through in my career,” Klay said during the post-game press conference. “But what we accomplished, it don’t know if it’ll ever be done again.” Klay scored the Warriors’ final two points of the season, tying the score at 89-89 with 4:39 left.
“The game was right there for us,” he said. However, the Warriors missed their nine final shots — seven of them from the 3-point range. “They made shots. We missed shots we always make. That’s what it comes down to in this league,” he said.
He also held back tears. “It’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to go through in my sports career,” he said during the interview. “This is gut-wrenching. We all feel sick. It obviously hurts real bad right now.”
