Wow, Cindy Crawford’s daughter definitely takes after her mother. Cindy’s ‘mini me,’ Kaia Gerber, modeled for a new high fashion campaign and looked drop dead gorgeous! See the stunning shoot here!
Like mother, like daughter. Cindy Crawford’s teen daughter, Kaia Gerber, 14, not only looks exactly like her mother, 50, but also has talent like her as well! The fresh faced model is the new face of the Miu Miu sunglasses campaign, and she nailed the recent fashion shoot!
What’s more impressive than the 14-year-old landing her own fashion campaign, is that she also starred in a 5-minute short film for the high end brand. In the official campaign video, the cameras followed the model during a lazy summer day. Kaia is seen wearing an adorable red swim suit as she makes her way to the pool to cool off from the beaming sun. While her swimwear is so trendy for this summer, it’s her eyewear that caught our attention. The up-and-coming model wore a pair of large sunnies from the new collection, that definitely gave the shoot a vintage, 50s feel.
“With her butterfly lenses set into golden frames and dressed in precious pieces from the Miu Miu archive, fresh-faced Kaia Gerber perfectly encapsulates the maverick femininity of the Miu Miu girl,” the brand shared of their new face. Cindy’s daughter also took to her own Instagram account to share a short snippet of her lounging in the water, wearing her brand new shades. Stunning!
We are definitely gushing over this shoot, but if you ask Cindy, she knew her daughter was meant to be a star! “Kaia’s blossoming into such a beautiful young woman and I really want to let her shine,” she told fashion magazine The Edit. “I don’t want her to feel in competition with me, although I’ll tease her, and say, ‘You have my old hair–give it back!’ Or, ‘Give me back my legs!’ But she’ll be fine…She’s much more together and worldly than I was at her age.”
And this isn’t the only fashion shoot the young star has landed. Actually, Kaia has been very busy, modeling in New York Fashion Week, the CR Fashion Book, and three different Vogue editions. Whoa, that’s a lot to handle for a teenager, but she has her mom as her modeling coach, so she’ll definitely be fine!
