Best series ever? Perhaps. When LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers battled back from a 1-3 game deficit against Stephen Curry and his record-breaking, Golden State Warriors, one of the most exciting NBA Finals series in history was born. Let’s take a look at the most incredible moments of this 2016 NBA Finals.
The basketball drama in this NBA Finals series between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors has been that of Hollywood blockbuster movies. Fans of this series have seen head coaches bust-up clipboards, super-stars getting ejected, dunks made, and blowouts from both teams. The Cavs comeback after being down 3 games to 1 has made game 7 a must see event. Let’s take a closer look at the most epic moments of this series.
LeBron James, 31, has played his heart out bringing his Cavaliers back from the dead to make this one of the best finals ever. The dude put up 41 points in both games 5 and 6 resurrecting his team from a 3-1 deficit. LeBron, who leads the series in every stat category, is far and away the clear choice for Finals MVP. But even King James has off nights. When he has been held to 25 points or less, the Cavs lose, as they did in games 1, 2 and 4. But ultimately, LeBron’s soaring dunks and high-scoring action have been the most phenomenal parts of this series.
The Warriors brought their own flavor of drama to this series. There have been big moments and huge plays from both Splash Brothers, Stephen Curry, 28 and Klay Thompson, 24. Coach Steve Kerr, had his Bruce Lee moment in game 1 when he karate-chopped and busted-up his clipboard. Hilarious! There was also that gorgeous fan in the crowd for game 2, Roni Rose, that briefly grabbed our attention. Then Steph threw his mouth guard into the crowd during game 6, prompting an ejection. That earned Steph a tweet from his wife Ayesha Curry who defended her man and was then retweeted by none other than Selena Gomez! Wow, it’s enough to make our head spin. What an amazing series!
