Oh my god. Christina Grimmie’s family just released a final video on her YouTube channel — a breathtaking tribute video that was as inspiring and beautiful as it was heartbreaking. Watch it for yourself, right here.
What a beautiful way to honor such a beautiful person! Christina Grimmie’s family took to her YouTube on June 18 to share a heart-wrenching tribute video showing some of the most important moments of Christina’s life, and it totally had us in tears. See the beautiful tribute, here.
Christina was laid to rest in a beautiful private ceremony on June 17, and on June 18, her family honored her one last time by sharing a montage of some of her most wonderful moments on YouTube. She started off by singing Jason Mraz’s “I Won’t Give Up”, which continued throughout the video while clips played of her on The Voice, giving inspiring speeches to her followers, hanging out with her family and meeting her fans.
The video itself brought tears to our eyes, but the message that accompanied the video was equally sweet. “Christina Grimmie was taken from all of us far too soon, but the impact she had on this world in the short 22 years of her life will carry on forever,” said the caption.
Christina was finally buried on June 17 in a private ceremony, but in a last-minute decision the family chose to allow a live stream of the viewing so that fans could gain closure too. Christina’s fans have always been so important to her, and there are even multiple clips of her talking about how much she loved them in the tribute video. It was absolutely touching and we hope all of her fans feel the same sense of pride and love as we do watching it. RIP Christina.
