Christina Grimmie has been laid to rest after her horrific murder in her home state of New Jersey. The popstar’s closest friends and family mourned her during the private ceremony, which took place on June 16.

Christina was buried in New Jersey yesterday, per People. It was “a private, intimate gathering for her family and close friends,” a source had told the outlet. As we previously told you, Adam Levine, Christina’s coach on The Voice, paid for the service. Christina’s brother Marcus — the individual who tackled Christina’s killer, Kevin James Loibl — posted about Adam’s sweet gesture on his Facebook page. “I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight,” he wrote, “And I was blown away.” Tune in to the funeral live stream, here.
There will also be a public memorial at the Fellowship Alliance Chapel in Medford, NJ. It takes place on Friday from 3-8:00 PM EST, with a memorial service beginning at 8:00 PM. Fans and loved ones also held a vigil for her on June 13, gathering in her hometown of Evesham, NJ.
Christina is the victim of a senseless act of violence, having been shot to death after her concert in Orlando, FL on June 11. The popstar was signing autographs during a meet and greet with fans when a man walked up and shot her, before shooting and killing himself. Christina was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center, where she did not survive her injuries. Rest in peace, Christina.
