“We’re thrilled to be expecting,” Peyton, whose due date is in November, revealed to People magazine. “It’s something we’ve wanted for a long time, and we’re so excited it’s finally here.” Aw! There’s no question the lovebirds are pumped about their new bundle of joy — and so are their families!
“Our families are over the moon that we are finally joining the parent club,” Peyton continued, when speaking with E! News. “I’m an only child so this will be the first grandchild for my parents, and they are thrilled.”
As for names, Peyton dished that she and Chris have thrown a few names around already, but “nothing is set in stone yet.” “It all depends on the gender, and I think we will want to see the baby before a final decision is made,” the reality star gushed. “Right now we are just trying to pick a color for the nursery!” TOTALLY understandable!
Chris, who’s a landscaper from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, originally competed on Ali Fedotowsky‘s season of The Bachelorette back in 2010, while Peyton competed on Andy Baldwin‘s season of The Bachelor in 2007. Sadly both contestants walked away from their experiences sans love, but they ended up meeting each other through mutual friends from the show — TALK about fate, right?
The two eventually got engaged in 2011 and tied the knot in 2012 at Wild Dunes Resort in Charleston, S.C. And although the couple married off-camera, they just couldn’t stay away from reality TV. As it turns out, they now star together in a new HGTV special, My New Old House, which premieres June 26. Chris also hosts Yard Crashers on the DIY Network.
But their biggest project of all right now is making sure Peyton’s pregnancy goes smoothly. And of course, they’re already excited about introducing their little one to the family come November. “We have three nephews, which is so much fun,” Peyton said. “We’re especially excited to be able to add a new member to that crew and see how they all interact!”
