Yikes! On June 13, Johnny Depp send his posse into his shared home with ex Amber Heard to collect some of his things. However, Amber believed this violated his restraining order, and called the cops! So, could Johnny face jail time? A lawyer gives HollywoodLife.com the answer, here.
Could Johnny Depp, 53, be going to jail?! Amber Heard, 30, called the police on June 13 after Johnny sent his associates to their home and began removing items. Amber’s team believe they were way overstepping their bounds, and even believe Johnny was violating the restraining order Amber has against him. Los Angeles lawyer Mychal Wilson told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY whether or not Johnny’s in trouble.
Amber began freaking out on June 13 when Johnny’s people showed up to her house and began removing items from it, TMZ reported. Amber has a temporary restraining order against Johnny following her allegations that he physically abused her, and a court date set for June 17 to determine a more permanent situation. However, part of that was a “move-out order” which allowed Johnny to grab certain personal items to get him through the week. Amber believes they took way too much. Mychal explained to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY whether or not what he did was illegal. “Johnny Depp may not have violated the restraining order because the items his people possessed may be in compliance with the court’s ‘move out order’,” he said. Amber’s team argued that Johnny himself was in the Bahamas, so he doesn’t need any of those items immediately. If Amber’s team is right, what happens?
“Johnny could go to jail if the items seized were outside the scope of the restraining order,” Mychal explained. However, that probably won’t happen. “But, it’s highly unlikely because Johnny is a very smart guy with a great legal team. I would be surprised if this act was not reviewed and approved by his legal team.”
Police showed up to the home while Johnny’s people were there and monitored to make sure nothing got out of hand, but there’s no word yet on whether Amber will push any kind of legal charge against him. However, on June 14, she dropped her request in the divorce for spousal support so she could just focus on maintaining the restraining order.
