Attendees wore t-shirts and held up posters and candles as they gathered around photos of The Voice finalist at a memorial complex in Evesham, New Jersey, Christina’s hometown. The singer’s brother, Marcus, who attacked her shooter after gunshots rang out, also showed up to the event, and made sure to address the crowd with a sweet tribute to his little sis.
As we previously reported, Christina was holding a free meet and greet after her show in Orlando, Florida on June 10 when Kevin Loibl approached her and shot her. When Marcus brought Kevin to the ground, the gunman shot himself.
So far, there’s been no connection between Kevin and Christina revealed, and his motive is unknown. However, an eyewitness of the attack revealed that Christina had her “arms open,” ready to embrace the man she thought was waiting in line as a fan, before she was shot.
