This is horrible! A Telemundo reporter was attacked on June 8, and it was captured on television. You’re going to want to watch this shocking footage with caution!
OMG! Telemundo’s Iris Delgado was viciously punched in her face. And the worst part — it was captured on live television! The reporter was wrapping up a live newsfeed at the Philadelphia City Hall, when an unidentified woman attacked her. So scary!
Iris is seen in the news report, standing in front of the city hall building. Then things took a turn for the worst when a woman wearing a green shirt comes out of nowhere. “Excuse me, excuse me,” the woman said, approaching Iris. But being that the reporter was in the middle of her segment, she declined to answer the woman.
And that’s when things got physical! As news reel turned back to the Telemundo studio, you can see in the small frame that the woman hit the back of Iris’s head, before punching her in the face! “¡Ay Dios mio!” The anchor exclaimed, which means “Oh my God” in Spanish.
Unfortunately the footage didn’t turn back to Iris, as the studio news anchor continued to read off the stories of the day. But the good news is that Philadelphia law enforcement was called to the scene, according to TMZ, and the woman was arrested.
But it is still unclear what drove this woman to viciously attack Iris! It’s possibly that the woman grew agitated after Iris chose not to respond to her, but it’s hard to think that it would warrant her getting a blow to the face. A report on the motives of the unidentified woman have not be revealed.

Fortunately, Iris is OK, but she did complain of a throbbing pain on her right side of her head, according to law enforcement. Ouch! It’s unclear when she will return to reporting on air. But we hope she makes a full recovery soon!
