This will for sure be the craziest thing you see all day! Baltimore Orioles’ shortstop, Manny Machado, went absolutely nuts when Royals’ pitcher, Yordano Ventura, hit him with a pitch…and it caused an insane, bench-clearing brawl. Watch the fight here!
Manny Machado, 23, was NOT having it when Yordano Ventura, 25, rocked him in the back with a 99 mph fastball! The helmets and hats came off as the guys got physical with one another right there in the middle of the baseball field, and massive chaos erupted as players from the bench got involved, too. Check out the insane battle here!

The brawl went down during the Royals‘ and Orioles‘ game on June 7 during the fifth inning. After Yordano threw a bit of a wild pitch, hitting Manny in the back, the 23-year-old stormed the pitchers’ mound and started throwing punches. But that was just the beginning!
The athletes went at it, and almost immediately, players from the field and benches got in on the action. It eventually turned into a MAJOR mess in the infield, and both Manny and Yordano were ejected from the game, with suspensions expected.
Yordano is known to be a physical player (for baseball, at least) and has been suspended three times throughout his career, but Manny currently has the longest active mark in baseball, playing in 219 games straight. A suspension would totally put a damper on that stat, though!
The Orioles wound up victorious on their home field, completely dominating the Royals 9-1. The teams will face off again on June 8, and we can bet there’ll probably be a little extra fire under the players to secure a win for their respective team.
Do you think Manny was out of line for attacking Yordano, HollywoodLifers?
