If you weren’t planning to check out Keith Urban’s ‘ripCORD’ tour this summer, this might change your mind. The country star was joined by tourmates Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris onstage at the CMT Music Awards for a performance of ‘Wasted Time,’ and it was absolutely incredible!
The performances at this year’s CMT Music Awards are absolutely incredible, and Keith Urban totally delivered when he took the stage. The 48-year-old teamed up with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris, who are opening for him on the road this summer, and the trio gave a super fun rendition of Keith’s hit “Wasted Time” to open the show. Obsessed!

Keith played banjo for the performance, and kicked things off by singing the first verse, then Maren joined in for the pre-chorus. Can we talk about how absolutely stunning she looked in that plunging red, sequined dress?! Brett got his chance to solo, too, as the second verse kicked in, and the performance a whole was SO fun and energetic. What a way to start the show!
It’s a big night for Keith — besides just performing, he’s also up for the highly-coveted Video of the Year award against some stiff competition, as well as the Male Video of the Year honor. Meanwhile, breakout star Maren is being recognized in her own right in the Female Video of the Year and Breaktrhough Video of the Year categories.
And, if you follow Brett on Snapchat, you won’t be surprised to know that he’s up for a brand new award, the CMT Social Superstar, at the show. Talk about a talented group of people all on one tour, huh?! Stream music from Keith, Brett and Maren’s music completely unlimited and ad-free HERE.
The ripCORD tour kicked off on June 2 and will last until mid-September. The Australian superstar invites both Maren and Brett up on stage for separate performances during his set, and based on this CMT Awards collaboration, we’re totally itching to check this out live!
