Tamar Braxton has broken her silence since her shocking firing from ‘The Real.’ Tamar opened up on Steve Harvey’s radio show on June 2 and admitted to being totally caught off guard when she was told she was being let go. Yikes!

“My heart sunk into my shoes, really,” Tamar admitted, regarding her firing. “I pretty much fell over, to be honest.” She added that she “loved her job” and had “no issues” with the show, so it came as a total shock when producers told her she wasn’t wanted anymore.
The worst part, though? She STILL has no idea why she was fired. “For this to come out of the blue is just astonishing, to be honest,” she said. “I wish I could sit here and tell you it was negotiation issues, but I wasn’t negotiating. That wasn’t the case. I wish I could tell you that it was a headache on set, it wasn’t. I really, honestly, don’t know. I feel like that is what’s bothering me to this day because sometimes when you don’t see what’s wrong, you can’t fix it.”
But the former talk show host is remaining positive about her future. “From here, it’s onward and upward, and I have to keep telling myself that,” she said. She also revealed she’s getting a talk show of her very own with Steve’s help — so exciting!
In case you’re not caught up on this whole story, it went down like this: Out of nowhere, Tamar was suddenly fired from the Fox daytime television show on May 22, with the show claiming Tamar “will be leaving in order to concentrate on her solo career.” However, Tamar’s message after the split make it look like the show dumped her, claiming she was “stabbed in the back by someone [she] stupidly trusted.”
While The Real claimed Tamar was leaving to focus on her solo career, she was really reportedly fired because of “negative feedback” on her persona by focus groups, as well as for “eye-rolling” and throwing temper tantrums! There’s also reportedly a tape showing Tamar losing it and screaming at producers, though it hasn’t been released yet.
