We never expected to hear that Howard and John made up, but that’s exactly what John explained on his very first episode of The Stuttering John Podcast on June 2. You may remember way back when John worked for Howard, and then sent him into a rage by bailing to be Jay Leno’s announcer, but now that’s all ancient history. LISTEN TO THE PODCAST, RIGHT HERE.
“I used to work with Howard Stern, of course, and there was some friction when I left for Jay,” John explained. “And I recently emailed his wife Beth and said, ‘Look, can you please, you know, get this to Howard? Because I just want to say, you know, thanks for everything. I’m sorry for some – I know you and I have said things that have hurt each other, and I just want to say that I’m sorry if I hurt you.’”

Considering the bitterness between the duo, we wouldn’t have been surprised if Howard never responded, but he did! “Then he wrote me back and he said, you know, ‘Thanks so much for saying that. It’s all good.’…I extended the olive branch, and hopefully there will be a day we can hang out again, because we used to hang out all the time.” Awww! Maybe Howard will be one of his guests!
