Glenn Beck is off the air! SiriusXM suspended Glenn after a conversation with author Brad Thor, on the May 25 episode of ‘The Glenn Beck Program,’ came close to ‘advocating harm’ against Donald Trump! Click to hear Glenn’s comments.
While many voters don’t like the idea of Donald Trump, 69, becoming the next president of the United States, Glenn Beck, 52, the conservative radio host, took his dislike a little too far. He and guest Brad Thor, 47, got into discussion about “removing” Trump from office, SiriusXM decided to remove Glenn from the mic!

“This could bring down incredible heat on me, because I’m about to suggest something very bad,” Brad, a popular conservative novelist, said during the May 25 episode of The Glenn Beck Program, according to the Huffington Post. “With the feckless, spineless Congress we have, who will stand in the way of Donald Trump overstepping his constitutional authority as president? If Congress won’t remove him from office, what patriot will step up and do that if he oversteps his mandate as president, his constitutional granted authority as president?”
“I would agree with you on that,” Glenn said afterward, not realizing that the words “what patriot wills step up and do that” could possibly be interpreted as endorsing violence against the Republican presidential candidate. SiriusXM didn’t approve of this and on May 31, they suspended Glenn for at least a week.
“SiriusXM encourages a diversity of discourse and opinion on our talk programs,” the satellite radio service said in a statement, according to NBC News. “However, comments recently made by a guest on the independently produced Glenn Beck Program, in our judgement, may be reasonably construed by some to have been advocating harm against an individual currently running for office, which we cannot and will not condone.”
However, Brad defended his comments, saying his conversation with Glenn “was not a defense of assassination,” according to Reason. “Safeguarding the republic against a dictatorship is a topic of conversation that dates back to the Founders. If we had to unseat a president without the backing of the Congress, we would need a patriot along the lines of George Washington to lead the country from tyranny back to liberty.”
SiriusXM doesn’t see it that way and it’s “evaluating [Glenn’s] place in our lineup going forward,” per CNN. It seems Donald keeps winning over Glenn. He beat Ted Cruz, 45, who was Glenn’s pick for the GOP nomination. While Glenn trashed Caitlyn Jenner, 66, saying the transgender woman is still “a dude,” Donald won over the I Am Cait star by saying she can use any bathroom she wants at any Trump hotel. Glenn got Trumped, yet again!
