Yikes! Johnny Depp finally broke his silence about his sudden split from wife Amber Heard, and well, it sounds like they didn’t exactly end on the best note.
Amber Heard, 30 filed for divorce out of nowhere on May 22 — just 15 months after she married Johnny Depp, 52; the actress cited “irreconcilable differences,” and according to his statement, the divorce will probably go through quick, just like the marriage was.

His publicist released the following statement:
“Given the brevity of this marriage and the most recent and tragic loss of his mother, Johnny will not respond to any of the salacious false stories, gossip, misinformation and lies about his personal life. Hopefully the dissolution of this short marriage will be resolved quickly.”
Well, that doesn’t sound like things are smooth sailing, but Johnny’s had a rough couple of days. Johnny’s mother Betty Sue Palmer, who he was very close with, had just passed away from a long illness two days before Amber filed. Plus, he’s currently on a press tour promoting Alice Through The Looking Glass, which opens on May 27 — so heading to premieres solo with people asking questions can’t be easy.
He also has children Lily-Rose, 16, and son Jack, 14, with his ex, Vanessa Paradis. He met Amber on the set of 2011’s The Rum Diary and the two tied the knot in Feb. 2015. The kids, as well as Johnny’s mother had reportedly caused a bit of tension between Amber and Johnny, causing an “extremely bitter” relationship. The girls and his mother “hated” Amber, TMZ had reported.
So, do you think Johnny’s statement was bitter? Do you blame him? Let us know!
