Calvin Harris, 32, wants his fans to know he’s OK. He released his first statement via Twitter since his May 20 car crash. “Thank you so much for your messages and sorry to any disappointment I caused with the show cancellations,” he tweeted on May 27. “I’m feeling lucky and very grateful rn,” he added.
This is the first time Calvin has said anything himself since the accident. Calvin’s team has released statements, but Calvin has been staying under the radar. The DJ suffered “severe facial lacerations” and was briefly hospitalized. He still hasn’t fully recovered and hasn’t been able to perform since the accident. Calvin’s only been spotted out in public once, and you could barely see him.
“She wants Calvin to make sure he really does take the time off needed to recover from the car crash because he’s always running at a hundred miles an hour and doesn’t know when to stop,” a source told us. “Taylor will make sure, this time, that he puts his feet up and doesn’t lift a finger until he’s better.”
Calvin was “in shock” after the accident, and that’s totally understandable. He’s “keeping an eye on his body” to make sure he gets back to 100%, a source told E! Online. Take all the time you need, Calvin!
