Although Red Nose Day has been happening in the UK for more than 25 years (remember when One Direction took part in 2013?), it kicked off in the U.S. just last year. Even so, tons of huge names came out for the cause in the event’s first year — but this time around, there’s even more major stars joining in! In addition to Gwen and Camila, the star-studded list of celebrators includes Vanessa Hudgens, Ludacris, Blake Shelton, Julianne Hough, Taylor Kinney, Lena Dunham…the list goes on!
Last year’s inaugural U.S. Red Nose Day event raised more than $23 million for the Red Nose Day Fund, and with so many celebs on board again this year, surely it will raise even more in its second year! The money goes to support the neediest communities, also keeping children and young people safe, healthy and educated…who wouldn’t want to be part of this event?!
It’s not just the celebs who have posted photos or posed for photos, either. An entirely different batch of A-listers — including Emma Watson, Zac Efron, and Anna Kendrick, came together for one epic video to support Red Nose Day!
Clearly Red Nose Day has already inspired tons of celebs to get involved in the last year! You can take part in the big day by buying your own red nose at Walgreens (for only $1), donating during the special, or simply retweeting a donation message on Twitter. Yep, it’s that easy to support an amazing cause — no wonder so many celebs are part of it!
How are you celebrating Red Nose Day, HollywoodLifers? Don’t forget to tune in to the special from 9-11PM ET on NBC to donate!
