Get ready, world. Blueberry Pie and Fruity Crisp Oreos are headed your way. Yes, cookies tasting just like breakfast and dessert will be showing up on stores shelves in June 2016, according to PEOPLE. However, these treats will be only available for a limited time, so cookie aficionados better snatch up as many as they can.
The Blueberry Pie Oreo is pretty self-explanatory, as the cookie’s crème filling will be blueberry flavored. The cookie part may just taste like fresh piecrust. Delicious. As for Fruity Crisp, the cream filling will be filled with “fun, colorful rise crisps,” according to Junk Banter. These “rice crisps” look to be similar to Fruity Pebbles, the Flinstones-themed cereal created by Nabisco’s competitor, Post.
What happens when a snack-enthusiast combines one half of a Blueberry Pie Oreo with a Fruity Crisp Oreo? Pandemonium! Actually, doing that may be harder than it sounds. The Blueberry Pie Oreo will be sold exclusively at Target, while the Fruity Crisps flavors will be sold only at Wegmans, Winn Dixie, Price Chopper and a select other stores. If snack fans don’t have those specific stores in their towns, they’re out of luck.
Oreo has a long history of bizarre and delicious flavors. Nabisco unleashed Key Lime Pie Oreos in 2015, according to Tech Insider, one year after Root Beer Float flavored cookies were found on store shelves. There’s also been Strawberries n’ Crème Oreos, Fudge Sundae Crème Oreos, and what may be the weirdest flavor of them all – Candy Corn Oreos, which debuted around Halloween in 2012.
It may sound gross, but some crazed cookie fan is just going to wash down a mouthful of Fruity Crisp Oreos with some Hi-C Ecto Cooler. The beloved Ghostbusters-theme drink is coming back from the dead in time for the brand new movie. Whether Blueberry Pie Oreos beat out the competition or Fruity Crisp flattens all other snacks, one thing is for certain: It’s going to be a flavor-filled summer!
