Talk about power women! XTina took the stage during night one of the finale on May 23 to perform with her finalist and they brought down the house with a Carole King cover.
Every season, The Voice judge pairs up with one of their finalists for an epic duet — and this year, it’s one of the best we’ve ever heard! Christina Aguilera and Alisan Porter absolutely brought down the house on part one of the finale on May 23, and we are ready to download it right now.
The powerful ladies took the stage together to sing the 1971 Carole King hit “You’ve Got a Friend,” and it really was perfect — it seemed like there was a genuine friendship between X-Tina and Alisan the entire season. Plus, you can actually already download it on iTunes here!
Alisan actually has learned a ton from Christina — more than just singing. Alisan said that she’s actually learned about being a singer and a mother at the same time, something Christina does very well with her son Max, 8, and daughter Summer, 21 months.
“I think she has just been the physical representation of what I want to be, a working Mom in the music industry, that has been my biggest thing watching her,” she told reporters last week. “I have seen her with her kids a bunch of times; they have been here a bunch of times and my kids have come. Knowing that it is possible for me to do that and my kids will be cool and they will still have time with their Mom is number one. And number two is that emotional connection is what people connect to most with me. I need to honor that and have that in the forefront at all times.”
