It’s no secret that Blake Shelton knows how to create a successful artist on ‘The Voice’ — and this season is no different. He took the stage with his final contestant and together, they brought out the most country performance of the season. (I loved it!)
Blake Shelton totally on #TeamAdam… Adam Wakefield that is! The two joined together on stage on part one of The Voice finale on May 23 for a rendition of Hank Williams Jr. and Waylon Jennings‘ country hit, “The Conversation.” And well, it has us talking! Did you love the performance?
While Blake has been performing everywhere lately, his voice hasn’t strained at all — he perfectly complimented Adam’s country voice! Together, they were quite the pair, strumming their guitars; honestly it was one of our favorite performances of the season. You can download the song on iTunes now!
This whole experience has been amazing! It is the best thing that has happened to me and my career and my family. Everything about this show has been a blessing,” Adam told us last week after the show. “Everyone here is so amazing!” However, he’s not 100 percent sure this is the career he’ll do later.
“For me a lot of it was getting a taste of what life would be like if you pursued your own music career,” he told us exclusively. “Do I want to spend this much time away from my girlfriend and away from home? Do I want to sit on my phone all day and tweet people and all this stuff? It has been eye-opening. It is not all just glitz and glamour. There is a lot of hard work that goes into it…It is also a good taste of if you want this to be your life. Do you want to spend your life in hotels? Shaking hands with people you don’t know and all that?”
Either way, he nailed his performance with Blake! Do you think Adam could win it all?
