Brace yourselves, ‘Fear The Walking Dead’ fans — this one’s going to be pretty gross. In a preview of the mid-season finale, Ofelia starts to pull the skin off of her face. Click inside to WATCH!
On the Sunday, May 22 episode of Fear The Walking Dead, Ofelia (Mercedes Mason) appears to be in grave danger as the season comes to a temporary close. However, could this all just be a figment of Daniel’s (Ruben Blades) imagination? Hmm.
Gross, Ofelia. As you can see in the above preview of the mid-season two finale of FTWD, things get a little crazy in the middle of the night at the Mexican compound where the group has sought refuge. After a gunshot wakes Daniel and his daughter, Ofelia, up, he immediately starts to panic.
Daniel is a survivor, and since he knows about the cellar walkers that Celia is keeping alive, he also knows that the compound is a ticking time bomb. He immediately grabs Ofelia out of bed and drags her outside, but she’s having trouble keeping up. When she finally stops to catch her breath she tells Daniel she doesn’t feel well, and that’s when he turns to face her.
Ofelia stands up straight and definitely doesn’t look good, but then she reaches up to her cheek and pulls on a loose piece of skin. The skin tears right off, revealing the bloody inside of her cheek as Daniel watches horrified.
But let’s not forget that Daniel has been seeing and hearing things lately. Not only did he hear voices in previous episodes, but in the episode where they finally arrive in Mexico he has a flashback while trying to kill an altar boy walker. The flashback causes him to pause for way too long, leaving Ofelia to kill the little walker.
So, it’s safe to assume that this is a nightmare… but Celia is also crazy, so who knows what she’s even capable of. Could she be behind Ofelia’s illness, or is this really just Daniel totally losing his mind? We’ll just have to wait and see for when the episode airs on Sunday, May 22 at 9pm ET on AMC!
