If soccer fans ever want a textbook example of an amazing goal, they’ll have to look to Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge, 26, and the breakthrough shot in the Europa League Final with Sevilla. Winning doesn’t get any prettier than this!
It was around the 34th minute into the game when Daniel and the rest of Liverpool descended on Sevilla. After Philippe Coutinho, 23, expertly passed the ball over to Daniel, it was all over except for the celebrating. Daniel used the outside of his left foot to shoot the ball past the outstretched arms of David Soria, 23. The Sevillistas goalkeeper didn’t stand a chance.
Daniel’s goal may have booked Liverpool into the Champions League at the expense of their Spanish rivals. While Sevilla has been unbelievably consistent over the past three years, when Daniel is healthy, he’s considered one of the best strikers in the game. Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp, 48, is happy he decided to start Daniel instead of giving his spot to Divock Origi, 21. Maybe after the game is over, Jurgen will join in with Daniel’s signature dance, which the striker busted out after scoring, according to The Mirror.

Amazingly, the game almost went 2-0 before the half. Alberto Moreno, 23, James Milner, 30, and Adam Lallana, 28, pulled off some fancy footwork to slip the ball past Sevilla’s defenders around the 45th minute.
They got the ball to Nathaniel Clyne, 25, who whipped a low cross onto the six-yard line, but no one was there to capitalize. As the game goes into the second half, Seville better come up with some answers or Daniel and the rest of his squad will strike again.
