Robin Wright took a page out of Claire Underwood’s book and demanded she receive equal pay to her ‘House of Cards’ co-star, Kevin Spacey. The Netflix series star was making almost $100,000 less per episode than him!
Robin Wright, 50, revealed during her “Insight Dialogue” conversation at the Rockefeller Foundation on May May 17 that she had to fight to get paid as much as her House of Cards costar Kevin Spacey, 56. Good for her! Did Robin, who plays First Lady Claire Underwood on the Netflix series, get her demands met? Click through to see fans freaking out!

House of Cards may have started as a series about now-President Frank Underwood’s (Kevin’s) diabolical schemes to get into the White House, but as the series progressed, Claire, Robin’s character, has become an equal (and sometimes much better) player. Now that the show has completed their fourth season, and is signed on for two more, it’s only fitting that Robin makes the same amount of money as Kevin! She absolutely deserves it. And if you saw the season 4 finale, well — you know there’s going to be a lot of Claire in season 5.
“It was the perfect paradigm. There are very few films of TV shows where the male, the patriarch, and the matriarch are equal. And they are in House of Cards,” Robin told Rockefeller Foundation president Judith Rodin. I was looking at the statistics and Claire Underwood’s character was more popular than [Frank’s] for a period of time. So I capitalized on it. I was like, ‘You better pay me or I’m going to go public.’ And they did.”
Go on with your bad self Robin Wright.

Robin Wright should definitely be closer. She should be paid as much as a male co-star would. So I feel that plight.

Robin Wright deserves it! Main actress (and she's phenomenal), executive producer and even directed some of the episodes.

nytimes: Robin Wright wanted to be paid as much as Kevin Spacey. So she did something that would make Claire Underwood proud. …

Talk about being a real life Claire Underwood! She knew what she wanted, and went out and got it. And on top of that, she went public with her fight anyway! House of Cards fans were in awe of her badass self. It’s especially infuriating knowing just how much less she was reportedly being paid than Kevin. We were outraged.
He was reportedly making a whopping $500,000 per episode in 2014, leading up to season 3’s debut; Robin allegedly made about $420,000 per episode, according to a Forbes report. Not a small amount, but far less than Kevin. So disappointing! No word on how much she’ll be making now.
HollywoodLifers, are you shocked that Robin wasn’t getting paid as much as Kevin? Tell us in the comments!
