The authorities are “particularly interested” to see if Prince’s death was a result of a combination of Percocet and the synthetic opiate Buprenorphine, sources tell TMZ. The authorities still do not have Prince’s toxicology results, but they think this might be what killed him. A combination of Percocet and Buprenorphine can be fatal, experts tell TMZ, because both drugs suppress breathing and a combination creates a dangerous synergistic effect.
The authorities are also curious as to why Prince’s doctor, Dr. Micheal Schulenberg, was at the “Purple Rain” singer’s house when he died. If Percocet and Buprenorphine show up on Prince’s toxicology report, Dr. Schulenberg and Andrew Kornfeld, the rehab specialist who tried to save Prince’s life, will likely be questioned to see if either gave Prince the deadly duo of drugs.
The DEA raided Prince’s Paisley Park home on May 10, searching for “medications and prescriptions” that may have been issued by Dr. Schulenberg from his North Memorial Medical Center in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The have demanded all of Prince’s medical records to see if anyone could possibly be held responsible for ending the “Let’s Go Crazy” singer’s life.
As authorities determine what why Prince died, they may also have to figure out who gets his $300 million dollar estate. While it was supposed to be divided up between Tyka Nelson and the rest of Prince’s siblings, a Kansas City man named Carlin Q. Williams, 39, claims he is Prince’s biological son!
Carlin’s mother, Marsha Henson, claims she and Prince hooked up before the singer was famous. However, if her son turns out to be the son of Prince, it’s not like Carlin be able to spend the money anytime soon. He’s currently serving a 92-month sentence and won’t be released from a Florence, CO federal prison until 2020! Hopefully, the authorities will have wrapped up all of Prince’s unsolved mysteries by then.
