Believe it or not, Kesha’s not upset about Dr. Luke and his label, Kemosabe Records, blocking her from performing at the Billboard Music Awards on May 22. In fact, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned she thinks it’s a ‘blessing in disguise.’ Find out why!
Dr. Luke has banned Kesha from performing at the Billboard Music Awards on May 22, but she’s not letting music producer’s latest action affect her. In a way, she’s actually glad he went ahead and stopped her from performing.
“Kesha is actually embracing this latest hiccup with her performance cancellation because to her it proves that Dr. Luke is screwing with her career and he is just doing what he has done all along. She is confident that this power play will blow up in his face as well and she will look like the better person in this whole situation. It is actually a blessing in disguise that Dr. Luke is putting up such a stink, in her eyes,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.
After TMZ first broke the news, a rep for Dick Clark Productions, which produces the awards show, told HollywoodLife.com that Dr. Luke’s label, Kemosabe Records, has “been unable to come to an agreement for Kesha to perform on the show.”

Initially, he has signed off on the performance, but once he allegedly heard what Kesha was planning on doing, he put a stop to it, TMZ notes. Apparently, she was going to address their ongoing legal battle. Clearly, he seems to just be proving what Kesha has been trying to say all along — that he’s controlling and ruining her career.
