Of course Donald Trump, 69, won the Oregon republican primary election on May 17; he’s the only candidate still running in his party! But his win wasn’t always so certain. And there you have it! No protest votes could stop Trump from winning the Beaver State. Polls leading into the primary showed him leading by double digits against…nobody. But voters could have sent a message to him by refusing to vote at all. Some of them clearly aren’t on his side though, as he only got 63% of the vote while John took 19% and Ted 16%. He better work fast to unite the party!
As CNN has stated, this race is over. Unless GOP voters in other states are going to rise up and refuse to vote for Trump, he’s well on his way to becoming the Republican nominee for president. Going into the Oregon primary, Trump had 1086 delegates. Winning has gained him another 28. He only needs 1237 delegates to win the party nomination. Do you see where this is going?
If you’re wondering why nothing’s happening in Kentucky tonight, it’s because the republicans had their caucus on March 5. And yes, Trump won that election with 35% of the vote. This guy is unstoppable, like it or not. He’s a little busy on election night, though — his insane interview with Megyn Kelly is airing as results roll in!
