Alicia Keys is already looking pretty comfortable on set of ‘The Voice.’ As she prepares to coach the contestants next season, the singer gave an epic performance during Season 10’s Semifinals results show. She totally nailed it while singing her new hit ‘In Common,’ and we’re obsessed!
Look who it is! Future The Voice coach Alicia Keys, 35, was one of the musical guests on the May 17 episode of the show, and she completely slayed during her performance of “In Common.” This gal is SO talented, you guys!
Alicia looked and sounded incredible throughout the performance, and while she sat at a piano, the stage was full of dancers putting on quite a show for the audience! Eventually, Alicia herself got up and joined them, showing off her amazing body in a fishnet shirt with her bright pink bra showing through. Get it, girl!
“In Common” is actually Alicia’s first new song since 2012, so we’ve been waiting for this for quite some time — and she definitely didn’t disappoint. Considering the 35-year-old has signed on as a coach on The Voice next season, it was the perfect place for her to perform the song on TV for the first time.
The singer will join veteran judges Adam Levine, 37, and Blake Shelton, 39, along with fellow newbie Miley Cyrus, 23, in the big red chairs for Season 11, and we’re already super stoked about the new dynamic. This will also be the first time there are two women on the panel, which will hopefully shake things up in the best way, too! Stream Alicia’s hits completely unlimited and ad-free HERE.
“Alicia is a female and producers wanted a fair panel with a second woman alongside Miley Cyrus so there would be two men and two women coaches,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “They want to increase the odds for the first woman coach win. Secondly, Alicia has that R&B background that covers the other musical genres. With Pharrell gone, Alicia appeals to the soulful audience nicely.”
