Plus-size model, Tess Holliday, made QUITE a powerful statement when she posed nearly naked for a gorgeous pregnancy photoshoot. Sporting nothing but a thin bed sheet, the brunette beauty proved to the world that she’s ‘healthy’ AND stunning. Talk about inspirational!
Tess Holliday, 30, is NOT afraid to take on her haters. So much so that the size-22 model, who’s pregnant with her second child, posted a very revealing photo of herself on Instagram to prove that she’s having a healthy and happy pregnancy. And we have to hand it to her, Tess did a fantastic job of shutting her naysayers down — just take a look at the gorgeous image!
“Just because we’re plus size, doesn’t mean we have to prove that we’re healthy, just as someone who is smaller than us or average size doesn’t have to prove they are healthy,” Tess captioned the striking photo that she posted to her Instagram account on May 14. “We should be able to exist in our bodies. I am technically healthy but my body is no more valid than someone’s who isn’t.”
In the bold pic, which was taken by Alex Cayley for Telegraph magazine, Tess can be seen draped in a simple white sheet baring her tattooed arms with a sultry look in her eyes. The model revealed that she was seven months pregnant during the photoshoot and that she “loved every moment” — aw! Tess also included the #effyourbeautystandards hashtag in the caption, and we have to say, we love her brilliant statement!

The plus-sized bombshell ALSO looked fabulous over the weekend in a green floral sundress that featured a halter neckline. The occasion? Her baby shower, which had a tropical theme complete with gender neutral gifts. Although use to critics making vicious remarks about her body, when she announced her pregnancy in January, the backlash escalated even more.
“I’m part of a small minority that’s telling you it’s okay to not have a perfect baby bump, or not show at all, to be plus size & have a healthy child, & most importantly to find a care provider that doesn’t shame you about your size,” Tess wrote on Instagram in retaliation. “It’s also okay to tell someone to f— off when they give you unsolicited advice about what’s ‘best’ for you & your baby. As women, we know what’s best & that’s our business. No one else’s.”
How stunning does Tess look, HollywoodLifers? Do you love the statement she’s making?
