How scary. While naked and asleep in her own home, actress Madeleine Stowe was shocked to be woken up by a burglar holding a gun to her head. Unfortunately, the bandit made off with nearly $100,000 in her jewelry.
Madeleine Stowe, 57, lived out a real-life scenario from her former hit show, Revenge. A new report claims that the actress was robbed at gunpoint in her home, and even though the robber made off with some of her jewelry, she is very lucky to still be alive.

Wow. Not only did Madeleine survive this truly terrifying ordeal, but so did her husband, Brian Benben, who was asleep next to her when it all went down, reports TMZ. It all went down in September 2015 when the couple were woken up in the middle of the night by the sound of someone “rummaging” through their belongings inter master bedroom. When a very naked Madeleine went to check out the noise, she was greeted by a not-so-friendly man who quickly put his gun against her neck.
Madeleine reportedly told police that the man spoke to her in broken english and demanded all of her “valuable” or “something.” In a panic Madeleine handed him a bag full of $75,000 antique jewelry, which pleased the burglar enough that he left on his own accord.
Believe it or not, police actually caught the suspect just a few months later! His name is Walter Canizalez, and he was reportedly caught while attempting to rob another home. However, police also suspect him of criminal acts such as assault and sexual battery, so Madeleine was very fortunate to get off with just having her jewelry stolen. There’s no word on whether or not she ever got her jewelry back once Walter was caught.
When HollywoodLife.com reached out to the Los Angeles Police Department for more information, they told us they were still “gathering” info and to call back at a later time.
