Well, what’s going to happen here! Manchester City travels to Wales for their Premier League match against Swansea on May 15, knowing they have to win to stay in fourth position in the division, and in the all-important Champions League qualification place, or hope rivals Manchester United loses. Will the Citizen do the job their end? Click down for the live stream to watch!
United’s opportunity to have that fourth spot in their own hands going into the final game of the season was blown as they lost their last game at West Ham 3-2, after leading 2-1 in the second half. They also had the indignity of having their coach attacked on the way to the stadium. It really was a rotten day for them!
But City must’ve been laughing themselves silly at seeing their cross-city rivals fall at Upton Park, and now know that a win will see them playing Champions League soccer next season. It will be a relief for incoming manager Pep Guardiola, who is use to playing the top level club soccer with his previous teams Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
City will be reliant upon Sergio Aguero, who has his own personal duel with Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane and Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy to be top goalscorer in the Premier League. Sergio and Jamie are both on 24 goals, with Harry on 25. It’ll be interesting to see who comes out on top.
This is a tough last game for City, and they know they will have to be top of their game if they are to get anything from this one. Will they do it? Wait and see!
