Find anything familiar? MTV just released the first seven minutes of season two of ‘Scream,’ and well, we’re already scared. Also, this may or may not remind you a little bit of the second ‘Scream’ movie’s beginning scene.
There’s no Bella Thorne this time — the season two opener for Scream season two features Vine star, Lele Pons. But does she get killed? Well the opening was released on May 13 — what better day to drop it than on Friday the 13th? It starts off with — you guessed it — a phone call and a missing dog. However, almost immediately we get back into the life of Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus), who is getting very creepy texts, and Noah (John Karna) who is once again, obsessing over the murders.
Season two picks up on the night that Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) is set to return to Lakewood after heading off on some time alone to clear her head. Of course, there will be a welcome home party but first, Audrey’s busy at her job: the movieplex. Naturally, there’s a scary movie playing and almost immediately she starts receiving creepy text messages. When she asks who it is, the answer is simple: “Your conscience,” followed by, “dead serious.”
Luckily she does get a happy distraction before heading to the welcome home party for Emma; after closing up, she meets a cute girl in the lobby; yes, someone stayed after closing. You know, and then someone naturally turned off all of the lights. Because that’s what happens in Lakewood, right?
What did you think of the first seven minutes? You’ll never guess what happens next — and we can tell you that yes, there are new characters coming, and you’re going to love them. Season two of Scream premieres on MTV on May 30 at 11 PM!
