YASSS!! Drake made his first late night TV appearance on ‘The Tonight Show’ May 12 to chat up his upcoming ‘SNL’ hosting gig, as well as playing a crazy game of ‘Faceketball’ with Jimmy Fallon.
Oh Drake how we love you so! The 29-year-old stopped by to chat with Jimmy Fallon, 41, about his seventh studio album Views and his upcoming stint both hosting and performing on Saturday Night Live. But of course the huge NBA fan couldn’t show up without playing “Faceketball” with the host!
Drizzy looked super fine in a tan sweater, big gold chains and a huge smile. He and Jimmy had a blast putting the baby Drakes from his Views cover all over themselves and Jimmy’s set. But the best part was yet to come as Jimmy treated the massive Toronto Raptors fan to a game of “Faceketball,” where their heads became backboards.
Drake was all net on his first shot at Jimmy, who then missed his. But on Jimmy’s next try he jumped across and dunked right in Drake’s face. In return, Drake ran across and did a backwards dunk on Jimmy thank knocked the net off of Jimmy’s headpiece! Mad skills!!!
Unfortunately he didn’t perform any of his new songs as Meghan Trainor, 22, had the honors of being the show’s musical guest for the night. But Drizzy was still was able to discuss his sexy new whiskey brand, his amazing success from Views, and told cute stories about how his dad hadn’t got around to listening to his album yet, while praising his mom as the most “top shelf” person he knows. Awww! How cute is it that Drake is such a total mama’s boy! Stream Drake’s music, completely unlimited and ad-free, RIGHT HERE.
Drake dropped his new album Views back on Apr. 29 and already it’s such a massive hit, selling the most copies of any album’s first week of sales in 2016 by moving a stunning 852,000 copies in the seven days following its release. We’re going to be jamming out to his masterpiece as our summer playlist and can’t get his amazing songs out of our heads! And of course we’ll be tuning in May 14 to see him give it his all on SNL.
HollywoodLifers, what do you think of Drake’s new album? Have you been jamming out to it?
