Proud dad alert! Ryan Gosling just stopped by ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ to promote his new movie, and his visit didn’t go down without him gushing over his new baby daughter Amanda Lee. Keep reading for details!
Ryan Gosling, 35, stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote his latest movie The Nice Guys, and while there the talk show host couldn’t help but ask the usually private actor about his second baby daughter, Amada Lee, that he just had with actress Eva Mendes, 42. Watch below!
During Ryan’s interview, Ellen didn’t hesitate, and flat out asked the actor if he and his girlfriend just had another kid. Instead of keeping the news hush-hush, like he and Eva did throughout both of Eva’s pregnancies, he confirmed the big news to Ellen. He didn’t spill any specific details about Amada, but he did talk up their other daughter, 18-month-old Esmerelda, in the cutest way ever.
“Is this true, you’re a daddy for the second time?” Ellen asked. “I am,” replied Ryan, teasing that he had brought a picture of the little one for everyone to see. Too bad it was really just a Photoshop of Ellen’s head on an infant’s body. So funny, but what a let down! He then went on about his first little girl. “What do you call her?” Ellen asked of Ryan’s eldest. “You know, Es. Ezzie,” he said, sharing a story about his chalk war adventures with her at a local park.

Amada was born April 29th in Santa Monica, Calif. Her name is the same as her sister’s middle name. Kind of different, right? Don’t worry, there’s a purpose behind it. “Amada was my grandmother’s name. It means ‘beloved’ in Spanish,” Eva told Violet Grey in 2014. The notoriously quiet couple managed to keep news of their second child under wraps, with reports surfacing just last month that Eva was even expecting again. Sneaky, sneaky!
